Chronize is a mobile application that encourages physical activity by requiring users to perform exercises (such as pushups) in order to earn screen time on selected applications.

3.1 Information You Provide to Us

• Account Information: When you register for an account via our API services, we collect information necessary to set up and maintain your account, such as your email address, name, and other identifying information provided through third-party authentication services (e.g., Google, Apple).
• User Content: Information you provide when using the Service, such as profile information or content you share if you use social features.

3.2 Information We Collect Automatically

• Usage Data: Information about your activity on the Service, including:
  • Exercise data (pushup counts, other exercise metrics) - see Section 3.3
  • Streak information and Time budget usage
  • Historical statistics of exercises performed
  • Session duration and frequency
• Device Information: Information about your mobile device and internet connection, including device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, mobile network information, and IP address.
• App Usage Information: Through the Screen Time API (FamilyControls) on iOS and equivalent on Android, we collect information to manage time you spend on various shielded applications. We do not collect information about specific content viewed within those applications.

3.3 Face Data and Exercise Detection

How We Use Camera Data: Chronize uses your device's camera to detect exercises (such as pushups) through local Machine Learning pose detection. This feature is essential to verify exercise completion to earn screen time.

Data Collection and Storage: All detection and video processing occurs entirely on your device.

• We do not collect, store, or retain any video/image data: Data is processed in real-time on your device and the memory frame is immediately discarded. We do not retain any images or biometric identifiers.
• No video recordings are stored: No video recordings are created or stored on your device or our servers.
• Offline tracking: Only the final exercise count (a simple number) is sent to our servers/saved to your account.

3.4 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from third-party services when you choose to connect your account with those services (such as Google or Apple for authentication).

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide, maintain, and support the Service
• To create and manage your account
• To track and process subscriptions and payments
• To track display your exercise statistics and time budgets
• To improve and personalize the user experience
• To analyze usage patterns and optimize our API
• To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions

• Service Providers: For database hosting, payment processing, subscription management, and analytics (e.g. Supabase, Superwall, Google Analytics/Crashlytics).
